The durable Dryden Aqua AFM filter media removes from water up to 80% of all impurities up to 4.5 microns in size. The best cleaning result that high-quality sand can give - is 8 microns. The glass chemistry, particle shape and especially the activation process make filter material more effective. The large particle surface has a strong negative charge for adsorption of organic substances and small particles. The surface of the filter material has catalysts and a high oxidation-reduction potential, which promotes self-disinfection and prevents the formation of bacteria.
